The ninth Quantum Optics and Information Meeting (KOBIT-8), Turkey’s leading event in the field of quantum information science, was held on April 25-26, 2024, at the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center in Gebze. The meeting featured distinguished speakers such as Irfan Siddiqi from UC Berkeley’s Department of Physics, Fabrizio Piacentini from the Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica, Marco Cattaneo from the University of Helsinki, Özlem Salehi from Algorithmiq, and Kübra Yeter Aydeniz from the MITRE Corporation. As part of the event, Onur Pusuluk, who served on both the scientific advisory and executive boards, also delivered an online popular talk in Turkish on quantum biology, titled ‘Biochemical Phenomena from the Perspective of Quantum Information Science.’
